Mia Stiles is a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, majoring in elementary education.
Why did you choose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?
I chose UNL because it was close enough to home that I could still go back and have that support system, but it also gave me enough space to grow into my own person. I also loved the campus environment!
What activities and organizations are you involved in on campus?
I’m involved with Greek life and am a member of Alpha Omicron Pi!
What has been your favorite class and why?
TEAC307 with Trish! She and her class always brighten my day and I look forward to going to it each week. Getting to have the real-world conversations we have is just so beneficial on top of everything else we’re learning, and I feel like I’ve learned so much from her course. I also loved TEAC380, such a fun class!
What are your career goals?
I want to become an elementary teacher (ideally in the younger grades of K-3), and hopefully go into educational administration a little bit down the road!
