Teri Kaluza, customer service associate at the Pixel Lab, has been selected as the recipient of the latest Staff Star Award by the College of Education and Human Sciences Staff Council.

In her role, Kaluza greets and helps customers, while working to keep the Pixel Lab operating smoothly each day. She is also responsible for all aspects of billing, and assists with printing and finishing services to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.

“Teri has demonstrated an incredible adaptability and willingness to learn new things and refine her existing skills by taking on more of the production work when employment vacancies occurred in the Pixel Lab,” the nominator wrote. “In doing so, she has encouraged and fostered excellence in our production and lifted everyone around her higher. Her drive and persistence are difficult to match.”

Kaluza has been at the university for more than 22 years, including the last 18 at the Pixel Lab.

“Teri sees things in a way which the college is better for, and her willingness to learn is inspirational,” the nominator wrote. “We are truly lucky to have her in the college and in our unit.”

The Staff Star Award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond their scope of duties. It is awarded to one individual in the college each quarter.
