CEHS Alumni Tailgate to honor Tom Osborne and raise money for scholarships

Get your Husker spirit on, and come help CEHS honor Tom Osborne and support CEHS student scholarships, too. The CEHS Alumni Organization hosts its annual tailgate event from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14 in the Nebraska Union. Kickoff for the Nebraska vs. UCLA football game is scheduled for 11 a.m. The highlight of the tailgate will be the recognition of Tom Osborne as recipient of the 2013 CEHS Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Osborne earned his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from CEHS in 1965. His coaching success is legendary, but so too is his commitment to academics. More Husker student athletes have earned Academic All-America honors than at any other university—a testament to Tom's emphasis on education.

In addition to honoring Tom, your attendance will also support the Alumni Organization’s scholarship program for CEHS students. The price for this year’s tailgate is $50 per person and includes your meal and a $25 tax deductible contribution for CEHS student scholarships.
