Harnisch awarded Fulbright

Del Harnisch, TLTE, has been selected as a Fulbright scholar for 2011-2012. Harnisch will work in the Republic of Georgia in Tiblisi.

Harnisch will work with humanities faculty at the University of Georgia in the area of assessment and research-based evidence to improve language education. The project utilizes a set of principles that underlie assessment and leadership for learning: clarifying and sharing learning intentions and success criteria; engineering effective classroom discussions and tasks; providing feedback that moves learner forward; activating students as owners of their learning; and activating students as instructional resources for one another.
