Kostelnik honored by LAEYC

The Lincoln Association for the Education of Young Children (LAEYC) has named College of Education and Human Sciences Dean Marjorie Kostelnik its Sally Wysong Award recipient for outstanding service to the children of Lincoln and their families. The award was presented April 9 at LAEYC’s Early Childhood Celebration at Southeast Community College.

The award is given annually by LAEYC during National Week of the Young Child. Wysong operated a preschool for many years in Northeast Lincoln and was committed to getting hundreds of Lincoln children off to the best start possible. Lincoln Public Schools is naming a new school in Southeast Lincoln Wysong Elementary School in honor of Wysong’s impact on the community. The school will open in the fall of 2016.
