Student organizations throughout the College of Education and Human Sciences provide opportunities for students to engage with peers who have similar interests, growing their community while extending their talents and cultivating professional experience.
CEHS Student Advisory Board
The CEHS Student Advisory Board serves as a liaison between students and the Dean, faculty and staff. Members provide student perspective regarding curriculum, college climate and issues affecting students.
Members: Any CEHS undergraduate student. Interested students complete an application form and an interview with current members.

CEHS Student Ambassadors
The CEHS Ambassadors are a group of student leaders who work with the Director of Recruitment to welcome, inform and recruit prospective students from all over the country. Ambassadors may assist with campus visits, on-campus and virtual recruitment events and activities, as well as connecting with prospective CEHS students.
Members: Any CEHS undergraduate student. Interested students complete an application form and an informal interview with the CEHS Recruitment team.

American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences
AAFCS promotes the development of student leaders, and professional development, networking and collaboration among students and between the Student Unit and other AAFCS groups. They represent student members on the Leadership Council to provide advice and counsel to the Board of Directors.
Members: Any undergraduate or graduate student in a Family and Consumer Sciences degree program in CEHS.

American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists
The AATCC student chapter at UNL is a research- and service-oriented group. Its major focuses are on novel biofibers from agricultural wastes and byproducts, textile recycling, and fiber and textiles testing services to industries, especially those in Nebraska.
Members: Any student with interests in fibers, textiles and textile recycling is welcome.

Best Buddies
Best Buddies is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for one-on-one friendships, leadership development, and fostering inclusive environments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The UNL chapter is committed to this mission and work toward making campus a more inclusive and welcoming place for all.
Members: All UNL students are welcome.

National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association
UNL NSSLHA is a student organization for students interested in becoming a speech pathologist. Members participate in monthly meetings, volunteer opportunities and social events to get to know each other.
Members: Any student interested in becoming a speech-language pathologist.

Pre-Professional Educators of Mathematics Doing Awesome Stuff
PEMDAS is a pre-professional club that aims to create a community within the math education program. Its mission is to build community and support future math educators in ways that math courses cannot.
Members: Students interested in or pursuing a degree in secondary mathematics education.

Student Academy of Audiology
The Student Academy of Audiology provides students with volunteer opportunities centered around hearing healthcare. Members also participate in a variety of fun activities for engagement and networking outside of school.
Members: Any student interested in audiology.

UNL Aspiring Educators
Aspiring Educators is a pre-professional club whose mission is to equip education majors with connections within the UNL and Lincoln communities. The group aims to provide students with tools and discuss topics relevant to the teaching career that may not be discussed in classes.
Members: Any student who is an education major.
