2023-24 Racial Literacy Roundtables series begins Sept. 20

Registration is open for six Racial Literacy Roundtable events for the 2023-24 academic year. Open to students, faculty and staff, the Roundtables are designed to help participants, particularly students, work on developing racial literacy skills.

Internship helps Crayne gain confidence in fashion industry

Meet Carter Crayne, a senior merchandising major from Minnetonka, Minnesota. Carter has spent is final summer before graduation in Los Angeles, California, completing an internship with Noble & Ready, an apparel development and fashion production company. Rural Fellows internship helps Quick prepare for graduate work

Meet Maycee Quick, who recently earned her bachelor’s degree in hospitality, restaurant and tourism management. A native of Alliance, Maycee spent her summer as a Rural Fellows intern in Knox County. The Rural Fellows program places university students in Nebraska communities for seven weeks each summer to work with local leaders on community-designed projects.

Anderson gains tangible skills as NSE orientation leader

Meet Myah Anderson, a junior special education (7-12) major from Lincoln. This summer, Myah was one of 5 students in the College of Education of Human Sciences who served as orientation leaders for New Student Enrollment. In this role, which is among the most competitive and prestigious student leadership positions at the university, Myah helped welcome more than 4,500 students and their family members to campus.
