Ciara Ousley selected to present at Faculty Research and Creative Activity Slam

Ciara Ousley, an assistant professor in Special Education and Communication Disorders , is one of five faculty from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln selected to present their research during the 2023 Faculty Research and Creative Activity Slam Nov. 8. 



The Faculty Research and Creative Activity Slam will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the Wick Alumni Center. Registration is required at go.unl.edu/research-slam.  




Ousley and the other four participants will each have five minutes to address the question, “What do your friends and family members find most interesting about the work you do?” Following the presentations, the audience will vote for their favorite Slam talk, and the person with the most votes will receive $1,000 to advance their research, scholarship, or creative activity. 




The other participants in the Slam include Mohammad Hasan, assistant professor in electrical and computer engineering; Gwendwr Meredith, assistant professor in School of Natural Resources; Ryan Tan, assistant professor in sports media and communication; and Ruth Woiwode, assistant professor in animal science.
