Five students from the College of Education and Human Sciences were among the 47 selected to serve as strengths coaches at the Clifton Strengths Institute for the 2025-26 academic year. The students will join returning coaches to mentor first-year College of Business undergraduate students.

The program required all new coaches to enroll in Strengths Coaching, Theory and Practice this spring, where they learned about strengths-based development and techniques to maximize individuals’ potential. Each strengths coach receives personalized guidance from experienced student mentors.

The five CEHS students selected as new strengths coaches are listed below with their year in school, major and hometown:

  • Katelyn Dougherty, junior, nutrition, exercise and health science, Lincoln, Nebraska
  • Silas Olson, freshman, nutrition science, Papillion, Nebraska
  • Alyson Price, sophomore, nutrition, exercise and health science, Papillion, Nebraska
  • Elayne Price, sophomore, communication sciences and disorders, Papillion, Nebraska
  • Maggie Reisbig, junior, elementary education, Elkhorn, Nebraska
