The concentric impact of a name change of an institution was studied through the lens of the individual, the institution and the leadership throughout the transition period. The organizational identity of the institution emerged through the captured stories of the lived experiences of 16 individuals ranging from staff, faculty, administrator and legislator. The study adds to the knowledge of leading through times of change and the importance of identity and culture in an institution.
