Meet a Husker: Maddy Stolcpart

Meet Maddy Stolcpart, a junior from Firth, Nebraska, who is majoring in elementary education with a minor in music.

Why did you choose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

I chose UNL because of the Teacher Scholars program. This program is so great for incoming students! I met some of my best friends through this program and was surrounded by people who shared my passion for teaching!

What activities and organizations are you involved in on campus?

I am involved in University Singers on campus. Recently performed at MWCDA!

What has been your favorite class so far and why?

My favorite class so far has been my practicum class. I love getting to actually be in the classroom and meet students and teach lessons!

What are your career goals?

I would love to get to be an elementary teacher. I plan on getting a master's at some point to help students with disabilities and maybe having my own voice studio.
