AFIRE introduces pledge for inclusive excellence

28 Jan 2020

The College of Education and Human Sciences AFIRE (Advocating for Inclusion, Respect and Equity) Program is introducing a new opportunity for faculty and staff in the college to pledge their commitment to inclusive excellence in 2020.

Faculty and staff who participate in the AFIRE Pledge Program will commit to attend at least three events each semester in 2020 to increase awareness and knowledge about diversity and inclusion issues, and strategies for inclusive excellence. Those who take the pledge will receive a poster, and each time a workshop is attended, they will receive a sticker to place on the poster as a visible showcase of their commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence.  Those interested can learn more and pickup a poster on Feb. 6, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. near the the CEHS Dean’s Office in the Human Sciences Building on East Campus, and on Feb. 7, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. near the Henzlik Hub on City Campus.

CEHS students are also invited to take the pledge.
