BUROS publishes first reference of commercially available Spanish tests

The first reference of commercially available Spanish language tests in print has been published by the Buros Center for Testing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

"Pruebas Publicadas en Espanol" is available for purchase and provides extensive information about tests published in part or wholly in Spanish. It builds on the established traditions of Buros publications "The Mental Measurements Yearbook" and "Tests in Print."

Smith earns Best of Show

Congratulations to TMFD major Rachael Smith on receiving the AAFCS's Best of Show Undergraduate Award for her design "Geometrics in Lace" at the 104th AAFCS Design Showcase & Exhibition in Houston, Texas last week. 
Congratulations also to Assistant Professor of Practice Youngjoo Lee and TMFD major Kailtlyn Coufal for the selection of their design works, also featured in the AAFCS show.

Office 365 is expanding beyond email.   Microsoft will upgrade UNL's Office 365 environment within the next 14-20 days. This upgrade will enable UNL to roll out additional features of Office 365 at a later date--like sharing and collaborating on documents via SharePoint, storing files in the cloud with SkyDrive Pro, and using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote using just a web browser via Office 365.

Jha invited to be professor in residence

Dipra Jha, assistant professor of practice in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management has been invited to be professor in residence at the Venetian-Palazzo Resort in Las Vegas this summer. With more than 7,000 suites, the Venetian-Palazzo is the largest five diamond resort in the world. It also has the second largest convention facility in the world offering 2.25 million square feet of meeting space.

Mortensen, Family & Consumer Sciences Education major, featured in AAFCS online interview

New member McKenzie Mortensen is a rising star in the Nebraska Affiliate. She grew up in Lincoln, went to Lincoln East High School, and now attends University of Nebraska Lincoln where she majors in Secondary Education in Family and Consumer Sciences. Writes McKenzie, "I have wanted to be a teacher since the 3rd grade and finally chose to major in Family and Consumer Sciences Education so I could use my ability to relate with others, keep a positive attitude and show my compassion for helping students to work and cope with any type of problem they are experiencing.
