Adam Tong is a freshman nutrition, exercise and health sciences major from Lincoln, Nebraska. He is one of three College of Education and Human Sciences students selected to participate in the First Year Research Experience Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Why did you choose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?
I chose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln because I was born and raised here in Lincoln, Nebraska, and wanted to stay in the state. I also know that UNL has strong pre-health advising and coursework.
What activities and organizations are you involved in on campus?
On campus, I am involved in the FYRE program.
What has been your favorite class and why?
My favorite class so far has been NUTR 100 (Healthy Living) because I love learning about health and wellness since I am an active person myself.
What are your career goals?
My career goal is to get my bachelor's and then get into a graduate school so I can pursue my dream of becoming a physical therapist.
