23 CEHS students graduate from University Honors Program

Twenty-three students from the College of Education and Human Sciences are among the 264 graduating seniors who have completed the requirements of the University Honors Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Two CEHS students earn Peace Corps Prep certificate

AJ Pugh and Kenzie Steiner, both students in the College of Education and Human Sciences, were two of the eight students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who earned a certificate from the Peace Corps for successfully completing the Peace Corps Prep program.

Study suggests taste cells’ role in immune response may lead to treatment of taste loss

A recent study from a team of researchers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and other institutions has found that a subset of taste cells called type II taste cells may play a key role in the body’s immune response to harmful oral microbes. These new findings could help treat taste loss caused by infection, aging, obesity and cancer chemotherapy.
