All preprofessional students who have accepted into the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletic Training Program (UNL ATP) will be required to submit and maintain a current background check through the College of Education and Human Sciences (CEHS) while enrolled in the UNL ATP.
Information for completing and maintaining a current background check can be found here. All background checks must be completed and on file with CEHS prior to the start of all professional student clinical education rotations (i.e., ATHT 247-Clinical Education I).
The initial background check will cover the first three years of a program (i.e., Sophomore - Senior year). A second Background Check will need to be completed if a student takes a gap year while enrolled in the UNL ATP.
