The Great Prairie AI Show
4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026 - Carolyn Pope Edwards Hall room 227
The Great Prairie AI Show is a live, gameshow-style competition in which interdisciplinary teams of students design AI-supported solutions to a real educational challenge. The inaugural event in 2026 is being held as part of Husker AI Days.
Participation is open to any Husker undergraduate and graduate students. Four mixed teams of 4-6 students will be assigned after registration closes on April 15. Students can designate teammate preferences on the registration form.
About the Event
The live event combines the energy of a game show with the intellectual rigor of responsible AI design in education. Four interdisciplinary teams will compete across three rounds to design, prototype and defend AI-supported solutions to a shared educational challenge. Teams will be evaluated not simply on AI outputs, but on their design reasoning, attention to human roles, and responsible AI practices.
