Charles Miller has been named the new assistant dean of business and fiscal affairs for the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His first day will be April 1.

“Charles has extensive experience that will be of great value for our college as we move forward,” CEHS Dean Jeff Reese said. “I look forward to working with him to help the college continue to be a difference maker in the lives of our students, the research we do, and the communities we serve.”

Most recently, Miller served as a business and finance manager at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, leading comprehensive business, financial and administrative operations for the Nebraska Center for Clinical and Translational Research (NeCCTR). In that role, he oversaw multimillion dollar budgets for NeCCTR and associated cores, and managed grants and clinical trials financial operations as well.

Prior to that, Miller spent two years as a clinical trials accountant at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office. He previously spent 16 years at Cox Communications in Omaha, including four as an operations manager for contracts and quality assurance.

Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Bellevue University. He is an active member of the Association of Government Accountants and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
