During the 2026 Glow Big Red’s 24 hours of giving the College of Education and Human Sciences raised $68,713 through 264 gifts, demonstrating the incredible generosity of its alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.
The total number of gifts and dollars raised placed the college among the top 10 organizations across the university, highlighting the strong support behind CEHS students and programs.
"During my time here, I’ve been bowled over by the support folks have given to the college," said Jeff Reese, dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences. "It serves as a great reminder of why we’re here, which is to serve our students, provide great teaching, do great research, and engage with the community. Donations like this help us do this great work."
Funds raised through Glow Big Red will directly benefit CEHS students by expanding scholarship opportunities, enhancing hands-on learning experiences, and preparing future educators and professionals to serve communities across Nebraska and beyond.
Glow Big Red is the University of Nebraska’s annual 24-hour giving event, organized by the University of Nebraska Foundation to support scholarships, colleges, programs and student organizations across the university. Launched in honor of the university’s 150th anniversary, Glow Big Red is now in its eighth year and brings the University community together in a single day of impact.
