Three staff members from the College of Education and Human Sciences were among the 26 newly elected senators to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Staff Senate. The new senators will begin their terms in July.
The three new senators from CEHS are:
- Avery Anderson Baer, recruitment and outreach specialist, Department of Educational Administration
- Zee Cronin, office associate, Department of Educational Psychology
- Mel Sedlacek, office associate, Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies
The senate serves as a voice for the university’s staff and meets the second Thursday of every other month to discuss issues, share updates and provide input on university-wide initiatives. The next senate meeting is 2:30 p.m. May 8 in the Nebraska Union’s Platte River Room. All university staff members can attend.
Leadership for the Staff Senate’s executive committee for the 2025–26 academic year will be determined during a July 10 meeting.
