Kelcey Buck was named the Associate Director of Strategic Communications for the College of Education and Human Sciences in April 2023. In this position, she oversees operations of the Pixel Lab, including personnel management, sales and subsidy reporting. Kelcey also leads the Pixel Lab in the development of print and digital media for clients in CEHS, UNL and elsewhere. She executes strategies to promote CEHS to internal and external audiences, including generating content for the CEHS website and social media, while also providing support for external communications for departments and units within the college.

Kelcey arrived at Nebraska in April 2016 to serve as the communications associate in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders. In that role, she was responsible for all external communications, including maintaining the department website, writing and distributing stories, creating print and video promotional materials, and generating content for the department's social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) accounts.

Prior to Nebraska, Kelcey worked in athletics communications for nearly eight years, beginning her career as the first-ever sports information director at Central Methodist University before serving as the assistant sports information director at Washington University in St. Louis. In those roles, she was responsible for handling all publicity and statistics for 10 NCAA Division III athletics teams at WashU and all of Central Methodist's teams (14 at the time) that compete in the NAIA. Throughout her time in athletics communications, she was an active member in the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), serving on the organization's Academic All-America committee.

Kelcey graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in art from Doane College in 2008, then earned her master's degree in education from Central Methodist in 2010.
