100% online accelerated on-the-job learning.
Dedicated instruction in literacy, math and behavior.

Through UNL's innovative online, work-based licensure program, aspiring special education teachers can earn their credential while continuing to work in their schools. By combining district-specific classroom experience, on-the-job competencies, and high-quality coursework, this accelerated pathway helps candidates reach their goal faster while helping schools build their future workforce from within.

This program is open to any individual who is employed as a paraeducator in a Nebraska school district and has completed at least 60 college credit hours. Candidates must meet University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduate admissions requirements. Individuals who already earned a bachelor's degree may also apply for an endorsement only.

Cohorts begin each January.
