Pam Bazis, assistant professor of special education and communication disorders, and Amanda Prokasky, research assistant professor in the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools, are among the 12 University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty selected to participate in the Office of Research and Innovation’s Research Development Fellows Program (RDFP).

This 19th cohort includes fellows representing 10 departments across four colleges at the university. RDFP is a seven-month program designed to provide full-time faculty at the assistant-level rank with the information and resources necessary to position themselves for success in securing external funding. Fellows graduate from the program with an intentional plan for pursuing external funding and gain practical experience to effectively communicate their research, scholarship and creative endeavors to potential funders and other audiences.

More than 296 fellows have completed the program to date. The full list of 2026-27 fellows is available on the Office of Research and Innovation website.
