Emma Conradi, a first-year master’s student in the speech-language pathology program, is one of seven students across the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who was selected to participate in the Student Research Days Slam during next week’s Student Research Days.
The Student Research Day Slam is 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, in the Nebraska Union Ballroom. The campus-wide contest was open to undergraduate, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines interested in communicating their work in short, dynamic, engaging presentations.
“I am excited to have been selected as one of the six finalists for the UNL Research Slam because it’s a unique opportunity to share my research with people outside of the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders, hear what other student researchers are up to, and just be part of a fun event,” Conradi said.
Conradi’s slam is titled, “A World Where Everyone has an Equal Opportunity to Succeed!” The other students selected for the Student Research Days Slam include: Jocelyn Bullock (agricultural leadership, education and communication), Lance Buscher (business administration) and Kenny Morales (software engineering), Shilu Dahal (plant pathology), Libia Gomez-Trejo (complex biosystems), and Armando Lerma (complex biosystems).
The winner will be decided by the audience and will receive a $500 prize, while the other finalists will each receive $100. There is no deadline for registration to be part of the audience, but space is limited. Reserve a seat in the audience.
