Lisa Franzen-Castle is now the associate dean for faculty affairs in the College of Education and Human Sciences after having the interim tag removed from her title.
Franzen-Castle has served as the interim associate dean for the college for the last two years. She also previously served as associate dean for faculty affairs in CEHS from 2021-23 and has been a faculty member in nutrition and health sciences, as well as an extension nutrition specialist, since 2009. In her role, Franzen-Castle works closely with the associate vice chancellor for faculty affairs, and focuses on faculty development and success, as well as the CEHS promotion and tenure, awards and professional leave processes.
Franzen-Castle earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Nebraska in dietetics and entomology, respectively, and her Ph.D. in nutrition with a minor in anthropology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
