Meet Grant Cline, a nutrition, exercise and health sciences major from Springfield, Missouri.
Why did you choose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?
UNL provided a unique, affordable, and personal education that allowed me to develop as both a student and an adult. Lincoln itself is a great city with some big opportunities that usually only come in urban settings, while also providing an authentic Nebraskan personality.
What activities and organizations are you involved in on campus?
I am involved in the athletic department as a student worker, the University Lutheran Chapel, the Honors Program, and Students Together Against Cancer.
What has been your favorite class so far and why?
Nutrition 453, or Nutrition and Fitness Communication has been my favorite course, as it allowed me to apply the knowledge I’ve gained from prior coursework to the lives of others, allowing me to see how I can make a living in the future and how I can positively impact the world.
What are your career goals?
I hope to either pursue a career in healthcare as a dentist or physician, or as a sports scientist for a collegiate athletic department.
