Three faculty from the College of Education and Human Sciences have been selected as recipients of the 2024 College Distinguished Teaching Awards, as announced by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor.
Professor Gilbert Parra from the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies , Professor of Practice Kristy Weissling from the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders , and Associate Professor Jiangang Xia from the Department of Educational Administration are the three recipients for CEHS this year.
The College Distinguished Teaching Awards were authorized by the Nebraska Legislature in 1976 to recognize outstanding teaching. Fifteen $1,000 awards are presented each year. Awardees are recognized at The Laurels annual award reception.
