CEHS launches new teacher apprenticeship program in collaboration with LPS, NDE

The College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln held a signing day ceremony April 11 at the Barkley Memorial Center to celebrate the start of a new partnership with Lincoln Public Schools as part of the Nebraska Department of Education’s Nebraska Teacher Apprenticeship Program.

Community collaboration, guest speakers provide real-world application opportunities for NHS grad students

A semester-long group project collaboration with Duncan Aviation and guest speakers from Nebraska Extension are helping University of Nebraska-Lincoln Nutrition and Health Sciences graduate students gain applied skills of the evidence-based knowledge learned in class on the principles of health program organization and management.

Thanks to a Bright Futures Scholarship from the National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation, University of Nebraska-Lincoln senior Zaira Alonso was one of several students from across the country who attended NRF 2024: Retail’s Big Show and NRF Foundation Student Program in January in New York City.

From patient to provider: Husker student uses personal experience to prepare for audiology career

Lydia Teegerstrom doesn’t remember having her cochlear implants activated. She was implanted on her right side at 14 months and on her left at five years old. But she knows having them has changed her life. Now she’s using her experience to prepare to help others like her.
