For the past 20 years, the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools has remained committed to making positive difference in people’s lives through research in the social, behavioral and educational sciences.
As CYFS looks ahead to the next 20 years, the center is offering a new funding opportunity: The CYFS Signature Research Impact Program.
Funding for this program is provided by generous private donations directed to the center through the University of Nebraska Foundation, in alignment with its Only in Nebraska campaign priority to invest in Transformational Research and Innovation.
Research receiving a CYFS Signature Research Impact award will align with the center’s mission, support one or more of CYFS’ six thematic areas, and have relevance to issues impacting Nebraska’s children, families, schools and/or communities.
To apply, principal investigators must be a faculty member at one of the University of Nebraska campuses and a CYFS research affiliate. To learn more about becoming a research affiliate, please contact Sue Sheridan, CYFS director.
Up to three awards will be made. The maximum award request is $20,000 for up to two years.
A Notice of Intent (NOI) to submit is required to allow adequate planning. NOIs are not binding. The Request for Applications (RFA) provides comprehensive guidance for preparing both the NOI and full proposal application.
The NOI is due by 5 p.m. CDT on March 28. Full proposals are due by 5 p.m. CDT on April 30.
