Three faculty from the College of Education and Human Sciences received the 2026 Family & Friends Recognition Award, an annual award recognizing faculty and staff who have made a significant different in students’ lives.
The three honorees from CEHS were:
- Ajai Ammachathram, associate professor for nutrition and health sciences and program director for hospitality, restaurant and tourism management
- Linda Young, professor of practice for nutrition and health sciences
- Kim Zetterman, practicum supervisor for teaching, learning and teacher education
The Family & Friends Recognition Awards, organized by Student Life and co-sponsored by the UNL Teaching Council and the UNL Parent & Family Association, give parents, family members and friends the opportunity to recognize faculty and staff who have supported, encouraged or inspired their Husker.
Each nominee will receive a certificate of recognition, along with a token of appreciation from the Parent and Family Association. A complete list of recipients can be viewed on the Parent & Family Association website.
