During inclement weather, safety is the primary concern for the ATS.
If inclement weather has occurred or is imminent, the ATS should contact their assigned preceptor prior to departing to determine if the clinical education site is open.
ATS are expected to attend their clinical education unless one or more of the following weather-related situations has occurred:
- The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has cancelled courses due to inclement weather. (To view UNL Winter Weather Policy Procedures, click here.)
- The clinical education site has closed due to inclement weather.
- The ATS does not feel safe traveling due to dangerous road or weather conditions.
