Jhovany Millan has been named the new recruitment coordinator for the College of Education and Human Sciences. His first day in the college will be May 1.
In his role, Millan will assist CEHS Director of Recruitment Dijon DeLaPorte in facilitating all aspects of undergraduate student recruitment for the college.
He joins CEHS after spending the last three years serving as a recruitment specialist in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Undergraduate Office of Admissions, managing all undergraduate recruitment in the Tri-Cities area of Nebraska. Millan, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, has served as a Spanish liaison giving presentations and tours to Spanish-speaking students and families.
“We are especially excited about Jhovany’s experience in the field working with first-generation prospective students and their families,” DeLaPorte said. “His experience walking through the college decision-making process with high school students will be of great value to CEHS.”
A Nebraska native, Millan graduated from Wayne State College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in social sciences in 2021.
