Resume/cover letter review hosted by Advising Center

The College of Education and Human Sciences Academic Advising Center will be hosting a resume/cover letter review day for CEHS undergraduate students on Oct. 10. Students may drop by the Hub in Henzlik Hall between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a 15-minute resume/cover letter critique by qualified Career Services advisors.

“This is a great opportunity for CEHS students to prepare for internships, practicum, student teaching and graduation,” said Dallas Doane, a Student Affairs graduate student in the Academic Advising Center who is coordinating the event.

Marc Brennan joins audiology faculty in SECD

Perhaps Marc Brennan was destined to be an audiologist. After all, he knows firsthand what his patients are going through. Now he’s sharing that knowledge with students and pursuing research he hopes will improve auditory perception in hearing aids as an assistant professor in SECD.

SECD brown bag sessions get underway Sept. 22

The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders will host five brown bag sessions at the Barkley Memorial Center during the fall semester. The brown bags are intended primarily to allow graduate students to present and respond to research topics, while receiving feedback from the people in attendance. 

The brown bag sessions for the fall semester are listed below. All presentations are held from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in room 131 of the Barkley Memorial Center.

Fashion Week winner reflects on her inclusive designs and vision

Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design (TMFD) graduate Korinne Zimmerman took home the Emerging Designer award at Omaha Fashion Week (OFW) in August. Her career appears on an upward trajectory as she communicates to the world through her designs. Zimmerman’s passion for designing and sewing is immediately recognizable and contagious.
