Dipra Jha, assistant professor of practice in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management in the College of Education and Human Sciences, delivered a presentation at the Corvinus Business School in Budapest, Hungary as part of the school’s Science Café public lecture series. The Oct. 24 event was attended by students and faculty from Corvinus, as well as industry professionals.

Food Team gets Creative Excellence Award

Nebraska Extension Food Team honored with Creative Excellence Award

For developing a statewide food website, the Nebraska Extension Food Team has been presented with the Creative Excellence Award from the Joint Council of Extension Professionals and the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. The Food Team is composed of Extension Nutrition Specialist Lisa Franzen-Castle, from the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences, and three Extension Educators.

Nebraska Letterbox Club selling popcorn Oct. 24-28 on East Campus

The Academy for Child and Family Well Being at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be selling popcorn Oct. 24-28 to raise money for the Nebraska Letterbox Club, which sends educational packages to children in Nebraska’s foster care system.
