8th Annual Fall Symposium 2022

The Nebraska Center for the Prevention of Obesity Diseases (NPOD) hosted his 8th Annual Fall Symposium on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Sheldon Museum of Art.
The symposium was attended by over 85 participants.

Featured speakers were experts on the topics of “Extracellular Vesicles”:

  • Kristy Brown (Weill Cornell Medical College)

  • Elizabeth McNeill (Iowa State University)

  • Susmita Sahoo (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai)

OLLI at UNL fall symposium to focus global food security

OLLI at UNL, and the Winter Lecture Series of the Unitarian Church of Lincoln will hold its 2022 fall symposium “Global Food Security: Political, Economic and Climate Challenges,” on Oct. 22, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., in-person at the Nebraska East Union, Great Plains Room, and live stream on Zoom.

Audiology, speech-language pathology set dates for fall graduate open houses

The graduate programs in audiology and speech-language pathology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have set the dates for three open house events for prospective students in Fall 2022. 

Students interested in Nebraska’s master’s program in speech-language pathology have two opportunities to learn about the program – a virtual open house from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, and an in-person open house from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.
