Six students from the College of Education and Human Sciences are among the 32 students selected to serve as 2025 New Student Enrollment orientation leaders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Students and their families who go through orientation learn about campus resources, expectations, requirements, norms and success strategies. Orientation leaders facilitate and engage students in activities rooted in the Husker Student POWER framework.
The six students from CEHS selected as NSE orientation leaders are listed below with their year, major and hometown.
- Jenny Castor – elementary education, Tecumseh, Nebraska
- Lorelei Dalton – communication sciences and disorders, San Pedro, California
- Laila Doyle – community health and wellness, Edmond, Oklahoma
- Bradie Johnson – secondary education, South Sioux City, Nebraska
- Ella Medina – communication sciences and disorders, Lincoln, Nebraska
- Halle Settles – nutrition and health sciences, Papillion, Nebraska
Orientation leaders were selected through a rigorous application process. Candidates were evaluated based on their campus involvement, work experience, essay responses, professional references and performance during a three-hour, multi-part interview.
